How to use

Selection method does not change the odds
A 6-from-45 draw has 8,145,060 possible combinations, and whichever one you hold, your chance is exactly one in that number. One through six has precisely the same probability as any other line.
It only looks wrong because we equate randomness with being spread out. The draw machine has no concept of what a combination looks like.
But the payout can differ
Jackpots are usually a share of sales split between the winners rather than a fixed sum, so more winners on the same line means less each.
Human number choices are heavily skewed towards one to thirty-one because of birthdays. Including higher numbers therefore reduces the expected number of people sharing your prize.
Fix some numbers and randomise the rest
If you do not want to abandon meaningful numbers but also do not want to crowd into popular ones, lock a few and let the rest fill in randomly. Tap the numbers you want to keep and only the remaining slots are drawn.
The other approach is choosing a pool of about ten favourites and drawing six from it, so every number is one you chose while the combination itself stays random.
Buying several lines
Make every line different. Buying the same line five times raises the payout if it wins but leaves the chance of winning identical to one ticket.
This generator draws each set independently to reduce overlap. Formats such as Powerball, Mega Millions, and EuroMillions are available, and each preset sets its own number ranges and counts.
The overdue-number fallacy
Believing a number that has not appeared for a while is due is the classic gambler's fallacy. Draw machines have no memory, so every draw is fully independent.
Frequency charts are entertaining but carry no predictive power. That said, if many players choose from those charts, avoiding those numbers may help on the payout-sharing side.
